BAPL was created with the dream of revolutionizing city skylines by changing the way we approach infrastructure and real estate. Incorporated in 2007, BAPL has signed a joint venture development agreement with West Bengal Industrial Development Corporation Limited (WBIDC) for developing India’s first private Greenfield Aerotropolis. We have named it as Sujalaam – The Sky City, and it is located at Durgapur-Asansol Region (Burdwan) district of West Bengal. It has been a momentous growth story, with this township within a township comprising an airport, an industrial skyzone, a logistics skyhub, an information technology skypark in one of the most significant industrial zones in eastern India – and which would, in all probability, be the heart of future growth in West Bengal!

With eminent investors, like Changi Airports India Pte Ltd — a subsidiary of Changi Airports International Pte Ltd (CAI) Singapore, Infrastructure Leasing & Financial Services Ltd (IL&FS), and major Indian stakeholders namely Lend Lease Company Ltd, Citystar Infrastructure Ltd and Pragati Social Infrastructure & Development Ltd by our side, along with the active interest by the West Bengal Government in our marquee project in the form of fresh equity funding for an increased stake in the company, we are in a good place to make lasting infrastructural transformation in Bengal.
