A New World of Newer Possibilities!

Welcome to Sujalaam Skycity

“Airports will shape business locations and urban developments in the 21st Century as much as highways did in the 20th Century, railroads in the 19th and seaports in the 18th.” - Dr. John D. Kasarda – Globally renowned for his research on airport driven economic development and credited for coining the term “Aerotropolis”

The new Zero Mile of ADPA

Sujalaam Skycity is the manifestation of BAPL’s dream of building the first privately owned and managed Greenfield Airport City in India. An Airport, an Industrial zone, a Logistics Hub and a supporting Township – all, just a 15 minute drive from Durgapur, situated on the Golden Quadrilateral of India, along National Highway 2; proximate to Andal Railway Junction, under Ludhiana-Dankuni Freight Corridor.

Sujalaam Skycity, India’s first Aerotropolis promises to champion urban growth through intelligent planning and flawless execution – a first-of-its-kind integrated development in India.

The Skycity features its very own world class airport, a major manufacturing and logistics zone with some of the most renowned companies, logistic parks, institutions like multi-specialty hospitals and wellness centres, major schools, spiritual schools, boarding facilities and a well planned residential development! In other words, with Sujalaam Skycity we have created a township within a township that will be the truest testament of Bengal’s growth story!

Henceforth Live, Work & Play will have a new definition.

The Golden City Industrial Township Authority (GCITA)

The Aerotropolis features an autonomous urban local body - Golden City Industrial Township Authority (GCITA) which is now administering the Township, to ensure the administrative efficiency of the Aerotropolis stays at par with India’s other Smart City initiatives. GCITA was constituted under section 385A of the West Bengal Municipal Act 1993 in the year 2015, and currently, it has a commercial understanding with BAPL, whereby BAPL would be providing municipal services and collecting fees and charges for the same from the end users. Having GCITA as an autonomous governing body would ensure development and management of multiple infrastructure utilities in a seamless manner, and will also enable quick sanction of pertinent statutory approvals, thereby leading to fast track growth of the Aerotropolis.
